I always had high level positions with subject matter about which I knew very little. I can learn any professional lingo and concepts quickly even if it is not my area of expertise. I am motivated to conquer the subject by applying micro and macro organizational skills, creative problem solving, emotional intelligence :active listening, empathy and interpersonal skills, adapting to change and unexpected situations, networking, analysis and a compulsion to succeed. I passionately embellish the organization’s mission and objectives and implement them as my own. I prefer to read the “manual “ from the middle and work my way in either direction. In today’s world it is no longer who you know or what you know, but more so the ability to think outside the box and to be fearless about learning as you go and growing from mistakes. And that is how I function Parlayed my cumulative publicity expertise from previous positions into creating and developing small thoroughbred horse racing and breeding business. Used social media to publicize 9 thoroughbred wins in major race tracks across the country including Saratoga, Oaklawn Park, Churchill Downs, Parx, Presque Isle Downs, Aqueduct, Finger Lakes, Tampa Bay Downs Ten years of experience in a university and a community college administering federal and state grant funded programs. Created innovative, cutting edge fledgling training programs evolving into major community resources. Conducted training needs assessments for on/off campus and noncredit/ credit customized training programs for human services, business and industry. Created and managed budgets. Developed marketing and publicity strategies to promote visibility, increased enrollment and revenue by 20% each year. Achieved national and state wide recognition in multiple media including newspapers, magazines, journals and compendium for original brand using renovated Winnebago for onsite business training Four years experience in regional grant program funding elderly service programs in a 38 town region.
