About Marina Boon

Welcome on my LinkedIn page! I am currently in the final year of my PhD and starting to explore the possibilities for what to do after. During my PhD, I have developed the skills to transform complex information into clear, insightful visuals and conclusions. In the next step of my career, I would love to further develop my data analysis skills and hope to contribute to a healthier society and more sustainable world. My PhD research focuses on sensory processing in fruit fly models of Autism. As not much went as expected in the first two years of my PhD, I have learned that I am resilient to setbacks, can recharge myself, and come up with creative solutions. Since then, I have been able to generate a large amount of data by designing and sticking to a clear planning and organization. I enjoy turning a large pile of numbers into clear and appealing graphs. People have indicated that they like my supervision and to collaborate with me, but I also work well independently.
