About Marina Castillo

Having lived in 3 countries in South America, North America and Asia, Marina has developed a high multicultural sensitivity and she also adapts very well to different environments. Marina speaks Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and level Chinese. She graduated from a Masters in Global Communication, Double Degree from SFU (Vancouver) and CUC (Beijing). She also holds a BA in International Relations (Hons.), a Diploma in Business Administration and WSET 3, Advanced Award in Wines (Merit). She has always been involved in the event and wine industry in Argentina, Canada and China in companies like Catena Zapata, Kitsilano Wine Cellar, Fluent Productions and Parleview, where she performed as one of the supervisors at the Ontario Celebration Zone for the Pan-American and ParaPan-American Games in Toronto. She is also passionate about community work through non-profit organizations and her 10 year experience at Junior Chamber International. Marina has also facilitated numerous hours of public speaking in several universities and non-profit organizations and has participated in debating competitions locally, nationally and globally representing Argentina at JCI World Congress. She has also performed as a judge at the National High-School Academic Debate and Speech Tournament in Beijing. Her research for her Master's Degree delved into Nation Branding and Public Diplomacy as soft power instruments for international insertion, focusing mainly on Argentina and China. She is currently the Export Manager for Canada and Top Accounts Specialist for the United States for Catena Zapata, a prestigious and pioneer Argentine Winery. She manages national sales and marketing; and promotes the brand by telling the story of the Catena Zapata family through market visits, staff training and high profile events. She is very passionate about connecting with people, media and communication, meditation, dancing, experiential events and breathtaking wine!
