About Marina Kornilova

More than 15 years of experience of working in the area of communicable diseases prevention and control with a strong focus on HIV/AIDS including HIV prevention, treatment and care, HIV surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of AIDS response, strategic information capacity building, data quality assurance. Worked on long-term assignments in leading public health organizations such as US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and on the short-term contracts with UNDP, UNFPA, UNAIDS. Have an extended experience in designing and implementation of the large and complex HIV bio-behavioral surveys, qualitative studies, field assessments, operational researches, development of the guidelines and research protocols. POsess an excellent training and presentation skills. Have a diploma of a Medical Doctor with a post-graduate specialization in Infectious Diseases. Has published a range of peer-reviewed publications and presented on a number of International AIDS Conferences. Fluent in English and Russian (mother tongue) with good knowledge of French. Have several years of the international experience in low and middle income countries. Have worked in the emergency settings, provided technical assistance in outbreaks response.
