About Marina Mussapi

I am currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at the Moleskine Foundation. In my role, I actively contribute to the Foundation's mission, working towards a shared vision of fostering positive societal impact through the transformative power of creativity. This aligns seamlessly with my broader professional journey, where I have consistently strived to utilize strategic planning as a catalyst for positive transformation within the cultural sector. With a decade of dedicated experience in strategic planning within the cultural sector, my expertise lies in crafting and implementing strategic and business plans, conducting feasibility studies, market analyses, and assessing the economic and social impact of initiatives for various cultural entities such as museums, theaters, festivals, and other cultural institutions. My professional journey has encompassed collaborations with esteemed strategic consulting firms, including B2G Strategy, Accapiù, and AEA Consulting. From 2016 to 2022, I served as Program Developer at BASE Milano, a dynamic creative hub that emerged from one of Europe's most prominent culture-driven urban regeneration projects. In this role, I took charge of project development, institutional fundraising, and the conceptualization of educational programs. My academic journey includes graduating with honors from Bocconi University in Milan, where I earned a Master's Degree in "Management and Economics of Arts, Culture, Media, and Entertainment." Additionally, I hold a Master's in Creative Business Processes from the Copenhagen Business School. My educational background is focused on the management of museums, cultural institutions and creative industries, with particular attention to the strategic positioning and operations of these organizations.
