About Marina Pavanello

I am a biologist MSc. Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Oncology research. Graduated in Biological Sciences and Master's degree in Gynaecological Oncology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil. Ph.D. in Molecular Oncology at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia dealing with samples whereas being part of an international multidisciplinary oncology consortium, and with experience in presenting scientific data at numerous national and international conferences. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at The Westmead Institute for Medical Research, Sydney, Australia with precision medicine integrating genomic pathology into a multidisciplinary team-based model of care for ovarian cancer. Currently, I hold the title of Adjunct Associate Lecturer at UNSW and work as a postdoctoral research fellow at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, Brazil. At Einstein, I am involved in a diverse research program focused on identifying and validating immuno-oncology targets for cervical and ovarian cancer patients with a team of subject matter specialists. I consider myself innovative, dedicated, team player and fast learner with broad translational knowledge, and having the ability to combine, analyze, and interpret different datasets to ultimately improve patient outcomes. I aim to foster the integration of research, clinical, and educational activities in healthcare centers by having a professional relationship with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in academic and medical institutions.
