Dr. Mario Acunzo earned his Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Medicine from the University of Naples (Italy). He conducted postdoctoral research at Ohio State University, focusing on non-coding RNAs in lung cancer. In 2017, he joined Virginia Commonwealth University as a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine, where his research centered on engineered small RNAs and RNA editing (A-to-I) as therapeutic strategies in lung cancer.
