Expert in the area of gas turbine engine design, particularly its source CAD data and its interoperability downstream of the design function. Over 28 years at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies in Phoenix, Arizona in roles of increasing responsibility; currently a Technical Fellow. Led teams of domestic and global Designers on two recent large APU engine core designs, and prior to that was design module lead for several advanced technology engines. Subject matter expert on MBE/MBD and team leader for the Mechanical Design Model Based Enterprise Team, tasked with advancing model based design efforts on the mechanical side of Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Y14.5-1994 GDTP) Senior Level certified. Fluent in NX, CATIA V4/V5 and Teamcenter. Greenbelt certified in Six Sigma Core, Lean (Velocity Product Development), and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma). Granted 3 U.S. patents. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish), great communicator with a passion for learning and mentoring, and a keen eye for detail. Lifetime Member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and a firm believer in everything that it stands for. SHPE has opened many doors for me personally and professionally and I am incredibly grateful for those opportunities. I have attended 17 SHPE national conferences as a student, professional or recruiter, most recently Anaheim 2024, and have presented a workshop titled "Engineering Roles in Gas Turbine Engine Design: Past, Present and Future" at two of the conferences.
