About Mario Rizk

Mario is a Medical Student who invested in his studies to serve the local and international communities by empowering the people through knowledge that paves the road towards better future, promoting quality of life and health equity for all. Mario is a Youth Activist at the national and international levels. On the international level, he was a youth delegate in the Official Egyptian Mission to the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2019. He also got engaged in Youth and High-Level dialogues with the Member States of the United Nations to advance the implementation of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. Moreover, Mario is the representative of the External Affairs Committee of the youth-led regional platform on sustainable development at League of Arab States which was adopted by consensus of the 21 member states at the Arab High-Level Council Meeting on Sustainable Development June 2019 and reaffirmed at League of Arab States ECOSOC Ministerial Council in September 2019. He contributes to strengthening the relations between the Arab countries to match their national sustainable development goals with the 2030 Global Agenda. On a national level, Mario works with the Egyptian Ministry of Planning and economic development on youth and health policies at the national agenda “Egypt’s Vision 2030”. He also assists the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports in the strategic re-evaluation of the ministry’s long-term plans to align the goals and targets with the Global Goals 2030, African Agenda 2063 and the National Vision 2030. Mario advocates for youth leadership for better self-progress and sustainable development. He was elected the President for the Student Union in Newgiza University as well as the President of the Newgiza Rotaract Club. During the multiple trainings, dialogues and interviews such as Sustainable Development Ambassadors Forum in Egypt 2018, 2019 Arab sustainable development week 2018, 2019 ECOSOC Youth Forum Mario called for youth engagement and participation in all leadership levels, structural reform, quality health care and health equity for all.
