About Mario Rouillier

Mario Rouillier is the head of Canada’s largest private mining group, Groupe Rouillier. He is also a shareholder of Forages M. Rouillier, MBI Global (the largest company ever acquired by Groupe Rouillier), the Research in Diamond Drilling (RIDD) research unit, CR3X, Youdin Rouillier Drilling, and Avataa Rouillier Drilling. VersaRent, a company whose mission is to rent geotechnical drills, also joined the group in 2018. A seasoned manager and businessman, Mario Rouillier has consistently developed Groupe Rouillier, which now has over 500 employees. Mario, a leader and visionary, has focused his growth strategies on acquisitions. These sound strategies have not only diversified and strengthened the group, but have also made it a key player in Canada’s mining industry. Since he started his career as a driller helper and worked in many field positions, Mario truly understands the realities of all his employees. He is known for being close to his employees, for his listening skills, and for his caring and empathetic management approach. He has been actively involved as Chairman of the Board of Refuge Pageau, a shelter and rehabilitation centre for wild animals, since 2007. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the MISA Group, an organization whose mission is to stimulate innovation in the Quebec mining sector, and on the Board of the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association (CDDA).
