About Mario Thomas
Mario is originally from Northern California where he grew up right outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. He has many interests such as weightlifting, nutrition and meditation. He began his journey working in the mental health field where he performed social services in several psychiatric hospitals while still in NorCal. Upon relocating to Southern California, he made a transition to working with the unhoused population. He saw the correlation between both populations he served which made the transition easier. In SoCal he’s worked as a Rehabilitation Coordinator, a Youth Peer Support, a Housing Navigator & Case Manager, a Program Manager and a Director of Interim Housing. He’s empowered by the work he does and takes great pride in serving the community. One of his ethos is to “Stay ready so you won’t have to get ready.” His willingness for preparation and care allows him to motivate his Team and facilitate growth.
