About Marion Batard

I currently live in Quebec in Montreal. Passionate about integration through education and intercultural relations, I spent the first years of my career teaching French to students around the world online and face-to-face in the UK and the Chinese world ( Taiwan/China) where I lived for 8 years. I had the chance to diversify my experience by working in different types of schools with students of various ages and origins, including children and teenagers. My recent experiences have guided me towards the preparation of Canadian federal public service employees for French tests. I now hope to help migrants who have recently arrived in Quebec to learn French, the language of integration. I enjoy spending time creating engaging and innovative resources for my students. I always try to find the right balance between developing their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. I select personalized resources for them that arouse their interest and motivate them. I also participated in a few podcasts on the "Agito" site, a self-learning and sharing community for French teachers. I like talking with my colleagues, sharing our ideas and developing new skills together.
