Marisa is a results-driven, innovative strategist and one of Canada’s leading experts in the pardon industry. With over 25 years of experience, she has successfully helped more than clients start fresh, building a strong track record of achievement. Her extensive background includes working with all levels of government—federal, provincial, and municipal—both in Canada and the United States. She led one of the largest companies in the pardon industry for two decades, overseeing operations and developing procedures across every department during her tenure. Eventually, Marisa branched out to establish PardonPartners.com, a boutique firm focused on more personalized service and overall client satisfaction. Marisa has earned a reputation as an effective leader, successfully managing complex, high-level projects within procedural frameworks while building relationships with government agencies which played a key role in the growth of one of the largest Pardon agencies, and later, Pardon Partners. During the first decade of her experience in the pardons industry, Marisa developed new revenue streams branching out beyond just Pardons and US Waivers and led a team expansion from 8 to 25 employees within just a few years. Today, she continues to focus on maintaining her reputation as a trusted leader in the industry, overseeing operations at Pardon Partners. Her ability to navigate bureaucracy and resolve issues along the way — under tight time constraints — has been widely praised. Marisa is known for her down-to-earth approachability and creative problem-solving skills. She consistently demonstrated her ability to adapt and lead through significant federal legislative changes from 2010 through 2013. Marisa has also served on the Board of Advisors for LegalLine.ca since 2001 and acted as a consulting criminal records expert to Antree Demakos, while she authored the nationally acclaimed 300-page book ‘Canadian Criminal Records and How to Start Fresh’.
