Background

About Marisa Hamsik

I am a dedicated lower carbon strategist and team builder working at the intersection of corporate sustainability, climate change and the energy transition. With a track record building new strategies and initiatives then driving commercial and program execution, I bring deep expertise on decarbonization for hard to abate sectors, emerging energy technologies, carbon markets and net zero pathways. Recognized as a high-energy communicator and enthusiastic collaborator, I have worked globally in strategy, commercial and leadership roles with deep expertise in nature-based and engineered carbon removals. My background in journalism and master degree in environmental management provide a unique foundation to think at a systems level and simplify complexity - regularly providing strategic guidance to C-suites and executives at start ups and large corporations. I love motivating teams and coaching peers and colleagues toward high-performance and work-life balance goals. My motivations are to work with dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver tangible lower carbon outcomes and to think at a global scale about solutions that can drive the journey to net zero.
