About Marisol Mateo

Bio Marisol works under the Mental Health Association of Nassau County as a Children's Care Coordinator. Formally Veteran Program Manager at Veterans Health Alliance of Long Island (VHALI), and Vet2Vet. Prior to VHALI, she worked with a couple of temporary agencies where she developed her administrative and leadership skills. She enjoyed the opportunity to work for different organizations as a temp, her last assignment was as a sales assistant to the sales director at Esquire bank. In her role, she performed all responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s Lending Policy and Consumer Lending related regulations. Previously, she has worked for an ambulance company as an emergency medical technician, worked at a hospital and couple of clinics as a medical biller and medical assistant. Marisol has expertise in both the specific needs and proclivities of people with health challenges and in the procedural and substantive aspects of the health system. She is a results-oriented professional with strong analytical, clinical, and strategic skills. Ms. Mateo was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, served her country for almost 15 years, was activated twice stateside and deployed overseas, under Operation Enduring Freedom. Marisol earned a certificate for Partnering for Safety Train the Trainer trough the New York State Office of Mental Health, Bureau of Education and Workforce Development, Certificate for Mental Health First Aid USA, EMT certificate through Center for Learning and Innovation at Northwell Health. Medical billing certificate through Sanford Brown College, and a medical assistant certificate both in California and New York at The New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants. She was currently enrolled at Long Island University Post and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration.
