About Marisol Meyer

I am a postdoctoral counseling psychologist passionate about making mental health treatment acceptable and accessible for vulnerable populations. My clinical practice has focused on the implementation of culturally responsive, empirically-based intervention with ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse clients in community-based mental health centers, academic health centers, forensic settings, and child welfare settings. My research and peer-reviewed publications on topics related to acceptable mental health interventions with vulnerable populations have garnered awards from the American Psychological Foundation, the Societies for the Advancement of Psychotherapy, Health Psychology, and International Psychology.
