About Marissa Jacobs

Mental Health Advocate specializing in advocacy, policy, and patient experience development with experience in team collaboration, program initiation, and developing content. With over 10 years working with companies, steering teams towards various company initiatives and program launches, I have the drive to successfully strategize and network internally across departments to develop project execution. Having a background in advocacy, policy, and clinical social work, I have been able to work in healthcare settings with key hospital administration and collaborate with patient families on hospital-directed initiatives. Collaboration, execution, and strategy are a major part in these projects. Serving on committees that are able to identify the various needs of its consumers from a patient-as-shareholder in the process of developing hospital initiatives is key to understanding and better serving the people the programs are geared towards helping. In my free time, I love creating content and listening to audiobooks. I love to network and I've also authored a children's book based on representation, empowerment, and self-esteem that depicts a true story of a pediatric cancer survivor, my eight-year old daughter, Aryn.
