About Marissa Marcin

My education background is in exercise science, which led to four and a half years of experience in physical activity and lifestyle behavior-based weight management clinical trials at the University of Pittsburgh. In August 2021, I became a Clinical Research Coordinator for MACRO within the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. My position focused on coordinating for Critical Care and Emergency Medicine's prospective, observational, and patient-oriented acute care clinical trials at UPMC's Presbyterian, Mercy, and Children’s hospitals. I was promoted as a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator in January 2023 to provide direct oversight to a team of clinical research coordinators and to oversee daily operations of MACRO’s clinical research service line. In June 2023, I was hired on as a Clinical Trial Manager II at Pittsburgh-based biotechnology research company, Cook MyoSite, to contribute to their mission of “making regenerative medicine a part of everyday medicine.”
