About Marissa Phillips

I have five years experience working in the field of Special Education. I have taught preschool, worked as a 1:1 Para Professional, RBT, and I am currently studying to become a BCBA. My area of specialization is within Autism Spectrum Disorder, but I also have experience with individuals with Tourette’s Syndrome, CP, Rhett’s Syndrome, OCD, ODD, and many others. My Master’s is in ABA from Drexel University and I am currently working towards my LBA certification through Teachers College Columbia University; however, my Bachelor’s is in Zoology. While training in the field of zoology, I worked with reptiles, mammals (including Great Apes), aquatic animals, herps, and domesticated animals. In my future, I plan to incorporate the two and hopefully find employment somewhere that I can assist children with special needs through animal therapy.
