About Maritza Wardrop

I have experience in counseling through the means of reality therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Each of these theories strive toward assisting people in making choices that align with their needs, wants, and desires. While having my own private practice I also work as a mental health therapist at a Day Hospital. While at this facility I have gained a considerable amount of knowledge in areas such as: anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, co-dependency, emotional regulation, addiction, trauma, and grief. I have experience treating adolescents, young adults, adults, and the elderly. Since 2015 I have worked consistently as an Adult Mental Health Therapist, largely as a Group Therapy Therapist but I also have experience in individual therapy, intake, discharge planning, and treatment planning.
