About Marius Cosmuta

My passion for software quality goes beyond traditional testing. As a QA Automation Engineer, I combine a solid foundation in automation and DevOps with an innovative perspective on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can solve the industry's most pressing challenges: costly maintenance and brittle tests. My goal is to build intelligent, resilient, and efficient testing ecosystems. My main achievements and areas of expertise include: 🤖 Innovation in Testing through AI/ML: I tried to design and develop the concept for an advanced testing tool equipped with a self-healing mechanism. Using a probabilistic model, the tool automatically repairs references to web elements (locators) that change, drastically reducing manual effort and increasing the stability of the test suite. Infrastructure and DevOps: My experience extends into DevOps, where I have designed and implemented testing infrastructures in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using Kubernetes (GKE) to ensure high availability. I have integrated and managed a full suite of CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Selenium Grid, JMeter, and the Elastic Stack, creating a centralised and robust testing environment. Modern Automation and Ownership: In my current role, I lead all QA efforts, where I have successfully migrated the entire testing pipeline from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and built an end-to-end automation framework from scratch with Cypress and JavaScript. As the sole QA on the team, I take full ownership of the test strategy, from planning to execution, and act as a pillar of product knowledge for my colleagues. I am always eager to explore new challenges in software quality, automation, and applied AI.
