Background

About Marius Klug

I am a cognitive scientist focusing on mobile experiments and multimodal brain and body measurements in extended reality (XR). I am especially interested in the transfer of fundamental research to applications while preserving as much data fidelity as possible. While my Ph.D. at Technische Universität Berlin was focused on methodological advancements and data analysis using high-fidelity research equipment, I also created a VR neuroscience game modification "Real Virtual Magic" for Skyrim VR using consumer-grade EEG equipment. This led to my current postdoc position at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, where I dive deeper into topics of human-machine interaction and investigate new kinds of user interfaces using brain and body data. As a tech enthusiast, I believe that virtual and augmented reality with multisensory physiological interfaces will be our future, and I am excited to be able to contribute to it!
