About Mariza Rylander

I have a long background in health care, starting in my teens with volunteer work and CNA work at the age of 15. I also achieved MRT, CPR, and first aid certification while job shadowing the nursing field. I held a CNA and child care positions while in nursing school; and once licensed as an RN, began to work as an independent contractor administering vaccines, educating clients on biometric screenings, and as a geriatric nurse in skilled nursing facilities. After finding my way into hemodialysis, I went to Kaplan University, and achieved my BSN. I went on to become a hemodialysis RN for 5 years and have gone back to my roots as an RN at an internal medicine office where I utilize my years of experience to educate, triage, and participate in tracking informatics. After pivoting from an MSN-informatics track; I found my way back to hemodialysis in 2020 after a long distance move and starting my family with my loving husband.
