About Marja Tavenier

Experienced Contract Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the energy sector with a strong focus on commercial and financial optimisation of energy assets. Skilled in renewable energy, power generation and natural gas. Worked with PZEM through the liberalisation phase of the energy sector and served in a variety of roles in business development, asset management and contract management, resulting in extensive knowledge of the energy business. Marja Tavenier took a leading role in negotiating and drafting a variety of transactions including acquisitions and divestments, and worked on contract amendments for structured deals, tolling contracts and services agreements. Strong operations professional with a Master of Science degree (MsC, drs) in Business Economics/Financial Management from Open University (Netherlands) and a Law degree (mr, LLM) in commercial and civil law from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. As such an important component of her role at PZEM consisted of in house legal advise to PZEM management board in all kinds of legal questions. In November 2023 Marja Tavenier started a new position at VoltH2 as Legal Counsel. In this role she will be responsible for all legal matters related to the VoltH2 group of companies and its business. Marja Tavenier was executive board member at Sloecentrale powerplant (870 MW, Vlissingen, the Netherlands) from 2016 until 2023.
