I am an analytic, operational and strategic executive with expertise in developing strategy, building high-performing teams, improving profitability and solving complex business problems under uncertainty. I have extensive knowledge of merchandise processes & planning, transportation (especially ocean freight and international trade regulations including tariffs/duty management) and warehouse efficiency. I am experienced in running major transformation programs across multiple departments, setting up governance structures, teams, systems and designing performance measurement to ensure that changes “stick”. In addition, I have a very versatile skill set built through my experience as a management consultant and through leading several functions during my career at Ross including: Strategy, Profit Improvement, Market Research, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement and CSR. I am currently overseeing Ross’s Merchandise Operations Department which encompasses Order Management "Vendor-to-Store", DC Production Planning, Analytics and Compliance (incl. Custom Compliance). The department is responsible for timely execution of the company's assortment goals in stores while minimizing Supply Chain costs. It can be characterized as the control tower between Merchants, Planners, Allocation, Supply Chain and the stores. It is comprised of multiple teams of 50+ analytical Associates that ensure that the right product gets to the right location at the right time. Key responsibilities of the department: · Product mix processed by the Supply Chain is in line with assortment goals · Eliminating/mitigating cycle time delays (e.g. disruption in ocean freight) · Improving and monitoring operational vendor performance (to increase efficiencies) · Ensure compliance with customs regulation and efficient customs clearance.
