About Mark Adams

I’m a business project manager with 12+ years delivery experience in business development, capital works and exhibition projects in the cultural, government and not for profit sectors. My diverse stakeholder experience is a fantastic grounding for working as a Principal Consultant with respected consultancy PMLogic, who I have enjoyed working with for many years. I have a Masters in Project Management (Business) from the University of Technology Sydney and a BEd. I hold professional PM certification with Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and am currently AIPM NSW President. These have accorded me a comprehensive set of project management tools and skills, and strengths in communication, problem-solving, leadership, and relationships with people and teams. I am studying a Prince2 Agile certification and hold one in AgileSHIFT, which brings an enterprise-level Agile lens to organisational change. I hold a lifetime teaching certification in Japan - a rare qualification endorsed under a Cabinet approved pilot program. I have also completed active listening and team training certifications in California. My work and volunteer roles feed my passion for promoting diversity, change management, business excellence, procurement and various process methodologies. Following an outstanding Ellen Macarthur Foundation webinar series in 2020 I joined a European and an Australian team pursuing efforts to implement Circular Economy principles and advocacy. This is an emerging paradigm shift that challenges conventional notions of economic growth. I am clear-eyed about the sometimes messy reality of finding the alignment of people, projects and tools together to ensure that success is always the goal. And… as an aspiring hand-stander, I am always trying to see the world a bit differently.
