Mark Altom has resided in Davis County for thirty-five years and has served as the county Treasurer for twenty-eight years. Mark has consistently demonstrated his ability to successfully invest and manage millions of Davis County’s taxpayers’ dollars. He has safeguarded taxpayer funds and investments with no losses, including throughout the 2008 recession. Mark’s passion for progress is evident through implementation of modern technology. This has simplified the taxation process and reduced operation expenses. He accomplished this through online tax payments and making property tax information available online. Mark is preparing to implement voluntary electronic tax notices, reducing printing and postage expenses, saving taxpayers’ money. Mark and Debbie have been married for 42 years.
