Background
About Mark Appleyard
I have been in Electrical Distribution since 2009. Originally as an Overhead Linesman, I moved into the works coordinator position in 2018. My main duties included coordinating works for customers to increase their supply or install a new supply. Through this I am involved with a variety of contacts to meet deadlines effectively & on budget. In October 2020 I progressed to the role of Connections Manager for the Small Works section. I manage a number of Technicians who carry out a range of jobs which ultimately lead to customer's having their new electric supplies, again, with the same demands as I had carried out in my previous role. This covers the West Yorkshire Region. As part of the job role I also carry out, out of hours work on a standby rota to help maintain and restore electric supplies within my work area. I am authorised on Low Voltage system & have experience on the High Voltage system. My decision making is something which I take pride in which has been built up from nearly 12 years in the industry.
