I've been engaged in reporting and journalism for Finland's national broadcaster Yle for more than These days I'm building the firm's social media presence by creating video news content and building audience by writing stories that intrigue and interest them. During the nearly 20 years I've been in journalism, my work has appeared in newspapers, on the web, on the radio and on television. After years of working behind the scenes as a news coordinator/journalist at the EBU desk, I started at Yle's News in English service at the beginning of 2015. It's been quite a ride. Physically, I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to jogging. Not long ago I completed my second half-marathon with a personal record of 2:04! Having started the sport in earnest a few years ago, I'm pretty proud of it. I speak fluent English, great Swedish and can get along in Finnish. In a pinch I can order meals in German. I'm a dual citizen and carry US and EU passports.
