About Mark Baker

I began my career in web measurement, product analysis, and digital marketing in 2010 by teaching myself how to analyze and educate others about Google Analytics I've had the pleasure of helping many college athletics departments (Michigan, NC State, Virginia Tech, Cal, Purdue, LSU, and more) and performing arts centers (Fox Theatre Atlanta, OKC Civic Center Music Hall) analyze their site traffic and content to better connect with fans and patrons to generate ticket sales. Partnering with these organizations to set marketing strategies and combine insights from their site traffic with digital campaign management gave me excellent insight into the customer journey and how to best reach and understand their customers. Recently, I've enjoyed the challenge of supporting the product development process of a quickly growing and iterating startup, planning for internationalization, and adopting a test and learn mentality. Through this process, I've learned to lead with empathy, be more flexible, how to clearly define requirements/hypotheses, and allow myself to be okay with imperfection. Based in Seattle, WA, I am passionate about reducing plastic and water usage as well as environmental conservation. I try to see the positive in all situations, and I am transparent, personable, and communicate well. I like to learn and research as much as possible, but I have a bias toward action and value clear, direct communication and feedback. I also enjoy baking, ice hockey, learning languages, and music of all kinds.
