About Mark Barrand

Having worked in the building industry for over 30 years - many of those spent in senior project positions at major volume builders including Metricon and Glenvill - I bring a lot of practical experience from the volume builder’s side to BPI 360. I know first-hand the issues that can cause inconsistent quality, excessive maintenance costs and overall inefficiency. I first met Rod when I was construction manager for Glenvill and he was conducting independent inspections on our builds. I was impressed by his approach and the outcomes he helped us achieve. I jumped at the chance to join the team to help protect volume builders and drive positive change within the industry. In my time at BPI 360, we’ve worked closely with builders to develop systems, processes and templates to help them achieve greater consistency across multiple sites and projects. We’ve also introduced staged inspections to align with volume builder processes and key milestones. BPI 360 are independent Building Consultants with a difference. While other independent Inspectors solely work for the client, we work with builders by adding support and protecting you - so you can build better homes more efficiently and profitably. By standardising the inspection process and educating and supporting your key people around the standards that must be achieved, we help you build better homes. We do this in two ways: • We give management clarity on defects for each project, split by address, supervisor, location and trade, so you can improve quality and efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs. We use a purpose-built app that tracks defects across all projects and provides clear defect reports. • We support and educate your team to help them minimise defects. Our templated inspection reports promote consistency and reinforce the required standards, and we are available to answer your team’s questions whenever they need advice.
