About Mark Bateman

I am a highly motivated driven individual with a proven record of managing successful operations within the Turf Management Industry across multiple professional sports turf situations, such as golf, lawn bowls and landscaping. With over twenty-five years of experience in the industry, in a career that has spanned three continents and two states of Australia. This includes thirteen years of managerial experience in the Sports Turf Industry on warm season grasses, I believe I have the experience, drive and the qualities to be successful in this role. Adding to this warm season experience, is a further six years of cool season turf management experience on Tier two level courses in Victoria, Australia. I am currently the Superintendent at The Empire Brunei monitoring all phases of agronomic operations, legislative compliance, and management of department personnel across the three courses owned and operated JPH Sdn Bhd Darussalam Assets. I have been in this role for the past eighteen months, and during this time, I have mentored three local Bruneians through the AGIF certificate in Greenkeeping Program and we recently successfully completed our 2.2-million-dollar Green and Bunker Refurbishment with Owen Hester and Green Dynasty.
