About Mark Beechill

Having spent most of my adult life working in stock control and planning roles while making music and writing as a hobby, in 2013 I made the decision to return to full time education. Following a period of writing poetry, I teamed up with Matthew and Lorna Morris to produce two volumes of my work, which in turn exposed me to the exciting and inspiring world of self-publishing. While producing music had never been an option for earning a living, I had previously designed my own record covers and wanted to return to this area, and develop these skills towards achieving a qualification. I have just completed a 3 year Graphic Design HND / Visual Arts BA at Canterbury College, with a Distinction for the HND and a First for the BA top up year. I am still involved in the self-publishing / zine culture and in May 2015 launched a new magazine, Foxhole Foxhole is an independently funded arts and culture magazine that aims to highlight and promote new and existing talent in the fields of writing, design, illustration and photography as well as covering creative endeavours and areas of alternative culture deserving of a wider audience.
