I have been capably performing the role of Acting Senior Operations Supervisor within West Moreton District since 2019 in an uninterrupted capacity, embracing and supporting the direction of the Service as described within the role description. As Acting Senior Operations Supervisor, I have undertaken the adaptive challenge of operational focus on patient centred care. I have achieved milestones by leading my colleagues, driving conversation and supporting the targeted and direct communication to relevant cohorts, by conversation pieces aligned with the Business Strategy and Workforce Plan to improve understanding by the workforce and improve capability to deliver best patient care and safety. I have worked closely with the Senior leadership team within my delegation, to collaborate and assist their roles, with focus on the core responsibilities within the operations profile. I demonstrate strong communication skills which engage relevant key stakeholders and establishes relationships in conjunction with the Senior regional leadership team, and direct a targeted approach to improving existing strategies. My leadership style provides clear and identified purpose of the role, structure, and responsibilities that lie within their expected role description and the purpose and direction that is expected within the region. I have developed strong relationships and networks within Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Health, Allied emergency services/ local government agencies/organisations and key stake holders. I have an open communication style and listen actively and attentively. I seek to understand my audience and adapt responses and actions accordingly. I work collaboratively with others through positive engagement to correctly understand their different and competing views. I have strong situational awareness and can read situations quickly to manage conflict and negotiate outcomes without compromising relationships or desired outcomes, this is especially relevant with consideration of the evolving cultural shift of the workforce. I consistently engage others with positive regard to settle disputes equitably by finding common ground, gaining cooperation in challenging situations.
