Over 21 years of experience in full custom RF, analogue and mixed signal IC layout to 100 GHz on 22nM on 0.25µM CMOS and BI-CMOS process technologies. Including: cell and top level, full verification, tapeout, floor planning, scripting and version control. Skilled in the layout of TIA, VCO, LNA, PLL, bandgap, filters, op-amp, pad, padring and iBias cells. Project layout lead on several chips. Setup for remote working. 44 years extensive experience in PCB design and PCB Systems covering single, multi-layer, flex-rigid, sculptured circuit, blind & buried via’s, high density, RF, analogue and digital technologies. Specialty includes RF and microwave PCB’s. Also providing front and back end automation software integrated with version control and bug tracking systems in conjunction with full PCB documentation of practices and processes. Skilled in providing innovative solutions for both PCB and IC Layout disciplines to reduce time scales and costs by use of various programming languages and tool sets on a selection of computing platforms. Typically using C/C++/Java/PHP. Applications include design and maintenance of the company Intranet, front and back-end PCB data management tool and IC Layout variant checker and pattern matching generator. Resource selection and management of contract and full time employees. Additionally providing consultancy and support to engineers in respective disciplines. In 2014 I was awarded a 2.1 BSc (Hons) degree in Computing Science, and in 2012 a Diploma in Web Application Development with demonstrable knowledge and practical working examples of database design and translation, reverse engineering, client and server side scripting, web design and Object Oriented programming.
