About Mark Brocklehurst.

I have extensive practical experience in the Law Enforcement and Security Industries. I have a wealth of knowledge gathered over 35 years, having also been a team leader and manager for 15 of these. I joined the Police Service in 1991 where I learned to conduct Investigations and was trained in specialisations such as Firearms, Personal Protection, Searching, Public Order Tactics and Advanced Driving. In 2008 I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, managing and leading teams of Response Officers in the Nottingham City area. After retiring from the Police in 2021, I used my advanced driving experience and worked as a driver at Porsche, Nottingham. I’m now the Site Security Manager responsible for Jubilee Campus and the three Medical Schools at the University of Nottingham. I am the SPoC for all security issues, crime reports and parking logistics on my Campuses. I liaise daily with stakeholders where there are concerns over issues of safety and security. I’m also a keen sports enthusiast with a strong passion for Rugby, fishing and motorbikes. I’ve been a keen Rugby player and now an enthusiastic Coach. I thoroughly enjoy this aspect and currently a volunteer Rugby Coach at the University of Nottinghams Rugby Club.
