About Mark Brown
Multimedia and AV systems should be simple to use and enhance business communications. Researching technologies and developing processes is my passion. Knowing my efforts have had a direct positive impact on business, is my reward. My experience in AV and Unified Communications has allowed me to design or implement of a vast range of multimedia systems including custom desktop video clients, sound reinforcement systems for performing arts spaces, video conferencing rooms, multi-camera broadcast and studio facilities, fiber-optic back-haul systems, and tens of thousands of simple PC presentation systems. Specialties: AV systems design with a core strength of audio engineering, enterprise communications, architectural design, project management and Below are photos from the renovation of Morgan Stanley's Fixed Income Auditorium - an upgrade the occurs like clockwork every 20 years;). In order to replace and modernize the display, a new rear projection screen (by RPV) was specified. The screen allows dual side-by-side 16x9 HD images as well as a centered 16x9 HD image. All projectors are Panasonic DLP projectors. In order to bring the mammoth screen into the 4th floor of the building, the facade between the base-building mullions was removed to provide an opening large enough for the screen and the crate. Later that cold, January night we shut down 48th Street in Times Square and brought the screen in and up with a crane. Once inside the motorized block-and-tackle that was intended to lift the screen into the rough opening failed. Fortunately the project management team had a contingency for enough glaziers to be on hand to lift the screen into place with good ol' fashioned manpower. The end result was beautiful and the client's new auditorium soon became the benchmark for all of Morgan Stanley's future auditorium spaces globally.
