Academic support specialist specializing in support and use of financial databases. Data Management and data storage advise and support for researchers is now part of my work. I currently use Camtasia to record small instruction movies. In the past I also used and supported citation software like ProCite & Reference Manager. Always keen to find out more about tools that will help find and manage datasets.Basic knowledge of MySQL and more advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office Excel, Stata, and Microsoft Access. At the moment I am learning how to program using Python. The focus is mainly on working with datasets. I increasingly use it to access data on servers and process it to combine with other datasets. I am also involved in 3D Printing using Ultimaker printers as well as VR using Oculus / Meta 2. The last year also included the increasing use of 3D scanning equipment like Polycam and the Einscan scanner from Shining 3D to scan objects.
