About Mark Butcher

I make enterprise IT more sustainable and cost effective. That means helping organisations cut waste, shrink emissions, and rethink how they design, run, and consume digital services. Most firms talk a good game on sustainability, but digital pollution keeps rising. Cloud waste, AI bloat, sprawling devices, and inefficient infrastructure are baked into how IT works. I help change that. Our work is mostly with large enterprises and governments, helping them make better, evidence-based decisions, not just for emissions reporting, but to embed sustainability into IT operations, delivery, procurement, and architecture. I’m hands-on with some of the most forward-thinking GreenOps and digital sustainability programmes globally, helping shape standards, advise on policy, and deliver change at scale. I’ve also built and led high-performing commercial teams across sales, marketing, and product. I know how to grow a business in tough environments without losing focus or diluting purpose. I’m proud that my work isn’t just “paper strategy”. It’s about practical executable change, backed by data.
