About Mark Butlin
Mark is an academic, lecturing in assessment and reporting, and education law. He is a consultant, presenter, researcher and author. Mark previously taught in four Queensland schools and was Principal of a large independent school in Toowoomba. Mark has recently completed his PhD in education law, investigating what Queensland independent school teachers know and understand about education law, relating to their everyday work. He has co-authored a book on law and ethics for Australian school teachers. Mark is a passionate educator who always goes the extra mile to see his students succeed. He has been invited to consult for a number of law firms in Australia to write Expert Law Reports and act as an Expert Witness as well as providing advice on education law for SBS television programs.
