About Mark Cabanlig

I am a big supporter of leading with authenticity, trust and intentions. As a leader, my biggest contribution in the workplace is to create meaningful changes in worker’s lives. I strongly emphasize the value of prioritizing education in every aspect, particularly when it comes to Safety. My expertise in this area revolves around this fundamental principle. Often, the health and safety challenges faced within an organization are a result of knowledge gaps and the absence of well-established systems. To address these issues, I advocate for a bottom-up approach, where the insights and knowledge of the workers are given priority in order to drive positive cultural changes within the organization. At the same time, it is essential for management to fully support these initiatives to bring about the desired transformation. My conviction in promoting a safety mindset is deeply rooted in the belief that safety is the responsibility of every individual, and it should be integrated right from the early design and planning phases. The concept of internal responsibility systems (IRS) aligns with the idea that collective efforts are essential to prevent, avoid, or mitigate hazards before they escalate into accidents. The effectiveness of this approach is most evident when health and safety management systems are deeply ingrained in the company's core values. Continuously improving workplace safety and health is a passion of mine. My specialization lies in analyzing worker behavior to identify patterns and trends over time. By employing this methodology, I leverage statistical data to strategically allocate efforts towards preventing injuries and incidents.
