After many years in the industry I consider that I can bring to any role, a deep understanding of fraud detection, prevention and management for card issuers and merchant acquirers. I have worked with banks, payment gateways and card schemes all over the world and witnessed the differences and similarities in in their approach to business and have adapted my systems and services to provide the best possible outcome for them. Where possible I bring that knowledge to help an organisation achieve best practice and introduce new concepts that may already be established in other areas. Having successfully designed and delivered fraud detection and management systems to Global Payments, ViSA, WorldPay, HSBC, Raffeisen Bank, ING, RBS, Barclays, Shell, National Commercial Bank, Mashreqbank, Arab Financial Services, China Construction Bank to name just a few, I believe I have the widest possible experience of the industry and it’s problems. As a serial Innovator I am always looking to help my customer improve the procedures and systems and have developed many solutions that have generated savings in efficiency and fraud prevention. I believe the customer comes first but I’m not afraid to help them see new ways that can help their business or indeed to tell them if their approach is flawed in some way. My proudest achievement is to have designed the issuer and acquirer fraud systems that VISA CEMEA used to bring down the skyrocketing regional fraud loss, down to the global average but bringing the worst banks below it. I have been privileged to work with some incredibly talented people on my team and at customer and colleague organisations. This has certainly made my job easier and more fun. I’m excited to embarking on a new adventure in the industry, be it a new customer, role or solution. I find almost every part rewarding. I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner.
