About Mark Chazan

I have been working for over 30 years in the IT industry on a diverse array of solutions from real time engineering automation software to innovative mobile financial applications. For the past decade my focus has been on product innovation, system architecture, security analysis and project management in the financial technology area. In 2001, I was one of the founders and directors of eWise Systems where I was involved in implementing the strategy, architecture, security design and patenting of eWise aggregation and payment software solutions as well as managing major complex eWise implementations such as that for Westpac. eWise has expanded to numerous countries and is now headquartered in the US. In 2011 I co-founded the business that became MOGOplus Holdings. At Mogo, I was a part of the team that developed a groundbreaking eVerification application that allows consumers to verify their identity and financial standing online without requiring users to divulge sensitive information to anyone other than their own bank. Mogo expanded to the UK where the head office is now based. In 2014, I co-founded EFTsure to address the growing need to assist organisations to ensure they are able to identify and protect themselves against risk of fraud and error that occur in the payment process. As part of the product innovation, I have had a number of local and international patents granted in the financial technology space. Other prior experience includes being a director and CFO of eTeam Software and I have held management roles in technology companies such as SystemBuilder, Unidata, Ardent Software and Informix. Formal training includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA). I also was a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia from 1993 until Sept 2024
