About Mark Cheng

I am a film director, animator, producer based on Los Angeles. I am a former NICKELODEON executive of 13 years where I launched the NOGGIN streaming subscription service and helped my department win an Emmy for Creative Storytelling. I develop and direct live action and animated films and series. Currently: Cinematic Shot Creator/Animator on MUTANT YEAR ZERO 2022-2024: DUNE: AWAKENING (Funcom/Tencent/Hazimation) 2022: HIPPO PARK (Mimo Studios) 2020-2022: MAX BEYOND.(Hazimation) I have directed cinematic sequences for premium video games, and have worked animated feature films. I primarily work with the industry-disrupting Unreal Engine, the 3D animation authoring tool used on shows like The Mandalorian for Disney+. To accomplish my work, I have used a variety of motion capture and animation technology. My first feature film, Ghost Source Zero, was distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in 2018. As a writer, I currently have 3 original screenplays under shopping agreements with producers/studios. I am currently represented by Bold Souls Studio.
