Mark has experience throughout the U.S. serving multiple Tribal Nations, State, Federal, private, and private industrial land owners and managers affording him a unique perspective in natural resource consulting, strategy and research. As adjunct faculty within the University of Idaho and as a NASA research scientist with the Carbon Monitoring System (CMS) Program Mark supports the application of LiDAR to natural resources research. Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in natural resource analytics, research, business development, strategic innovation and leadership. His position as CIO and owner in Northwest Management Inc within the Barr Geospatial Solutions team focuses on innovative applications, operational uses, and investments in, high-density LiDAR for resource management and fire severity risk mitigation. Mark is the founding developer of the ForestView® software platform and the S.A.V.E. geospatial data library.
