About Mark Dedona

Hello! My name is Mark DeDona, a junior enrolled at Sacred Heart University. I am majoring in Sport Management with minors in Business Analytics, Psychology, and Honors. My passion is in helping others, particularly students, which I discovered during my time as a chess coach. Since then, I've worked to improve my mentorship and have demonstrated effective leadership through my experiences as a Welch Mentor, chess team president, and in the industry I love: sports. With my unique taste for analytics, I aim to cast a wide net of industry experience as I work toward my goal of becoming a professor in sport management; where I will bring a rare lens of quantitative data analysis into the qualitative-heavy sport academia world. I am eager to learn, exhibit curiosity in my coursework and willingness to explore different opportunities. Furthermore, I possess excellent communication skills with fluency in both English and Mandarin. Some of my interests include traveling, cooking, and astronomy.
