About Mark Dodero

I have 44 years of experience as a biologist and have worked as a Restoration Specialist for 28 years. I have designed, planned, implemented, supervised and monitored mitigation and preserve management restoration and enhancement projects. Focal habitats I have restored include large scale cactus salvage and propagation for maritime succulent scrub, coastal sage scrub, native grasslands, clay lens and vernal pool habitats. Focal species include Quino checkerpot butterfly, San Diego and Riverside fairy shrimp, coastal California gnatcatcher, coastal cactus wren, western spadefoot toads and other incidental small mammal species such as desert woodrat and cactus mouse. Rare plant restoration projects have focused on variegated dudleya, San Diego goldenstar, coast barrel cactus, San Diego thornmint, Otay tarplant. Otay and San Diego Mesa mint, San Diego button celery, Orcutt grass and spreading navarretia.
