About Mark Doran

I'm passionate about real estate. My grandfather was a builder and my father a successful broker. Before I was a teen my dad put me to work in the family business and had me doing open houses by high school. I purchased my first real estate investment shortly after turning 18 (a 1/1 condo). Since then I've done it all in residential real estate - remodeled, constructed, flipped, leased, rented, invested, and most importantly helped others realize their dreams in real estate. Born and raised in Texas I attended the University of Texas in Austin and then the University of Wurzburg in Germany. While waiting for my diploma to arrive in the mail I served two years in the Peace Corps as a volunteer in Moldova where I received recognition for my outstanding contributions from President Clinton. In addition to real estate and community service, I've been an active investor, entrepreneur, and businessman having served in several senior executive positions at multiple companies as a President, CEO, and COO. I have also served on the Board of Directors for several companies and assisted in multiple startups within the green technology field. I met my wife at Ginny's Little Longhorn while out listening to local musical legend Dale Watson. Within weeks of meeting I knew she was the one and we married within a year. We've lived all around Austin but have settled into the Great Hills area with our son and dog. In my free time I love to spend time with his family and friends and travel.
