I have a wealth of experience in the leisure industry, particularly golf clubs, event management and lodge parks. I also have extensive event organisation and management experience having organised several large Pro & Amateur Golf Tournaments, The Warren Classic & Supercar Show 2013, 2014 and 2016. The annual Bell Meadow Rural Day among others. As a Conservative Party Essex County & Maldon District Councillor, I have a valuable insight into planning strategy and economic development. I have been Chairman of a major program committee that is responsible for community and leisure services in the Maldon District and am now Leader of the council. On May 4th I was elected to sit on Essex County Council for the Heybridge and Tollesbury division. I have been involved in local councils for nearly 25 years, having been a parish councillor in Woodham Walter since 1994 until stepping down in 2017. I am an experienced public speaker, having given addresses to large business conferences, political meetings and even local stage shows. I am quickly becoming a popular compere for events of various kinds. I am also Prince2 qualified to Foundation and Practitioner level and have a sound understanding of all elements of systematic & successful project management for any type of business. With a formal training at one of the finest UK Hotel Schools, I am a skilled and experienced at all levels of food and beverage service including several years within 5 Star London Hotels. I have several years experience of the licensed house business working for Bass PLC, developing and managing branded and stand alone food oriented public houses. This also gave me a valuable insight into a major brewery,wholesale and retail beer operations and setting up of national catering brands. in 1990 I won Area Manager of The Year, winning a week in Barbados. I have a wide range of skills and experiences, acquired over many years in business.
