About Mark Elliott

As Data Manager, Client Operations, at American Century Investments, I lead a multi-national Client Data Operations team responsible for mastering client data and data quality. My team supports Intermediary and Global Institutional sales, business and marketing teams and will soon expand to include mastering direct consumer lines of business supporting a 360-degree view of clients. My team consists of Business Data Analysts responsible for gathering requirements, profiling/analyzing data, implementing business rules, running scripts and reviewing the results from various domains leveraged in our enterprise data platform. In addition, the Data Stewards on my team support our sales, marketing and distribution teams by completing various daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. We constantly evaluate opportunities for process improvements, efficiencies, and evaluate/verify the processes in place are relevant and complete. Prior to American Century Investments, I managed a team of specialists maintaining prescription coverage for a leading health insurance company while at Argus. Prior to that, I spent close to 20 years at SS & C, where I held various roles, including business analyst working with several financial services companies. I co-authored a whitepaper articulating the need to develop a solution to help asset managers with their data quality in the Intermediary channel, which led to the product/service known as SS & C SalesConnect. I also worked as a relationship manager for the firm.
